1. Remove the old legs including their chain and wire rope restraints.

2. Install a locking brace support by mounting it to the vertical bar just above the washer where the old chain was attached.  It should be spaced 1/4 inch above the horizontal bar.  Temporarily use one of the plastic spacers act as a guide to maintain the 1/4 inch space. Use the correct locking  brace support.  The three mounting holes should be nearer to the side of the support which is closest to the table hinges with the four mounting nuts positioned downward towards the horizontal bar.  Mark the location for the holes using the locking leg support as a guide.  Drill the three 3/16 inch diameter holes needed for the pop rivets into the vertical bar.  Drill only through the top metal layer on the vertical bar.  Do not drill clear through both sides.

3. Mount the locking brace support to the table frame using three pop rivets securing it to the three holes previously drilled making sure that it is positioned as shown in the picture.  Repeat for the  table on the other side.

4. Install the new legs using a 1/4 inch spacer under each U-clamp.  Be sure to have the brace bar mounts facing towards the table surface.  Do not reattach the metal hook for the stretch cord. The extended rod on the leg pivot will act as the new hook.

4. Use the bolts provided to mount the leg lock to this brace support.

5. Repeat for the other side and the other table pieces if you are replacing all four legs.

6. The table legs should just make contact with the floor when the table is ready for play.  If they don’t make contact, make sure that there are no plastic spacers under the U-clamps for the table support bar.  You can purchase rubber leg feet which slip over the leg ends from your local hardware store.  These will add about 1/4 inch to the leg length.  Get the ones for a 1 inch table leg.

7. Reattach the stretch cord to the new leg on one side of the table.  Stretch it over the top of the table and position the loop on the end over the protruding leg pivot bar.
